Our First Week of Swim & Studies

5/ 6 Swim n’ Study
What a way to kick off the summer swim and studies! We started swimming in the Zurick’s pool (yay!) with a “most stylish” diving contest, and squirting everyone with squirt guns! The 5th and 6th graders are so awesome! The paid close attention when it was time for Joy’s lesson about worship. They learned how to worship God through several ways! Their answers to Joy’s questions stunned me, how the kids had clearly thought about this before. After the lesson kids shared prayer requests and then they prayed for each other.
3/ 4 Swim n’ Study
On Thursday the 3rd and 4th grade swim and study was at the Zilar’s house. Their pool is so cool and refreshing! The kids love playing basketball and submarines and there. After lunch we sat down for Joy’s talk; she talked about worship and different ways we could worship God. We encourage the kids to pray for each other during the week so we started sharing prayer requests. Some of the things kids pray for astonish me! It’s encouraging to hear 3rd and 4th graders pray for each other. This was my favorite part of the day because the kids’ prayers were so genuine and sweet.
Always,
Jocelyn
