We started swimming in the Zurick’s pool (yay!) with a “most stylish” diving contest, and squirting everyone with squirt guns! The 5th and 6th graders are so awesome! The paid close attention when it was time for Joy’s lesson about worship. They learned how to worship God through several ways! Their answers to Joy’s questions stunned me, how the kids had clearly thought about this before. After the lesson kids shared prayer requests and then they prayed for each other.

3/ 4 Swim n’ Study
On Thursday the 3rd and 4th grade swim and study was at the Zilar’s house. Their pool is so cool and refreshing! The kids love playing basketball and submarines and there. After lunch we sat down for Joy’s talk; she talked about worship and different ways we could worship God. We encourage the kids to pray for each other during the week so we started sharing prayer requests. Some of the things kids pray for astonish me! It’s encouraging to hear 3rd and 4th graders pray for each other. This was my favorite part of the day because the kids’ prayers were so genuine and sweet.

Always,
Jocelyn

FAMILY DEVOTIONAL- Week of July 6, 2008

click here for this weeks Family Devo
devos07062008.pdf

Bible Point: God's Word teaches us what we need to know.

Bible Story: Josiah Promises to Follow the Lord (2 Coronicles 34:1-33)

Key Verse: 2 Timothy 3:16-17

DID YA KNOW?

Josiah was recorded as Judah's greatest king because he followed God and God's Word will all his heart.

Swim & Studies Start This Week

KEEP COOL AND STAY ON FIRE FOR JESUS!

If you are going to be in grades 3 through 6 after the summer, than SWIM and STUDIES are for you!

Swim and Studies are weekly gatherings, where kidz get to stay cool in the pool, hang out with friendz and spend some time in God's Word.

***** IMPORTANT ***** Please wear a 1 piece bathing suit and bring the following: Bible, Sack Lunch, Sunscreen, Towel

MEETING DATES, TIMES AND LOCATIONS:

5th & 6th Graderz will meet on WEDNESDAYS for the month of July from 10:30am to Noon at the Zurick's House (6631 E.
